At Studio Fini Architettura, led by the Italian architects Gianfranco Fini and his daughter Nicola Fini, there is a profound commitment to architecture and design in the Dominican Republic. Their philosophy centers on creating spaces, environments, and structures that meet the needs of users, while integrating innovative solutions that respect and harmonize with the local landscape and natural environment.
From the onset, Studio Fini Architettura has emphasized urban planning and the sustainable development of tourism. The studio’s journey in shaping landscapes began in 1978 with the design of the Costa Verde Tabatinga holiday complex in Brazil. This extensive project, which covered more than 700 acres, significantly shaped the coastal area of Santos. This marked the beginning of several other large-scale projects both in Italy and internationally, including the Marina of Porto Rotondo in Sardinia, the Gouvia Marina in Corfù, Greece, and the Marinas of Casa de Campo and Puerto Bahia Samanà in the Dominican Republic. Their commitment to these projects is driven by Gianfranco’s extensive knowledge of the sea and his deep passion for sailing, which inform their focus on resorts and marinas.
Since 1991, their primary focus has been on the development and implementation of tourist centers, resorts, villas, marinas, and hotels in the Dominican Republic. They are committed to contributing to the country’s economic growth and promoting the sustainable use of its natural resources. Through their work, Studio Fini Architettura actively contributes to enhancing and preserving the beauty and integrity of the nation, ensuring that their designs not only transform landscapes but also support the community in embracing sustainable development practices for future generations.
